In the unfortunate event that your client may have a claim, some of the below information will assist us greatly in ensuring that the claims process is handled smoothly.

This is not exhaustive and certain claims may require further information. The insurer may also request proof of ownership in the event of a loss, which needs to show any details of the item (Make/Model/Serial Number).

We do, however, always require the below:

Motor collision claim
  • SAP (case) number
  • Driver’s licence
  • Public Driving Permit (PDP)
Motor collision third party involved
  • SAP (case) number
  • Driver’s licence
  • Public Driving Permit (PDP)
  • Third party details
Stolen motor vehicle
  • SAP (case) number
  • Vehicle chassis number (VIN)
  • Vehicle engine number
  • SAP 21 Form
  • Copy of vehicle registration certificate
General All Risks (lost/damaged)
  • Invoice (if the item has been repaired/replaced)
  • Proof of ownership (where applicable)
  • Quotation to replace
  • Quotation to repair
  • Report from the service provider (Damage Report)
General All Risks (stolen)
  • Invoice (if the item has been repaired/replaced)
  • Quotation to replace
  • SAP (case) number
  • Item was stolen from vehicle – Proof of forcible & violent entry/exit.
Geyser with or without resultant damage
  • Invoice (if the item has been repaired/replaced)
Cellphone
  • Quotation to replace
  • Invoice (if the item has been repaired/replaced)
Jewellery
  • Quotation to replace
  • SAP (case) number
  • Proof of ownership (if applicable)
